Important Notice About Agency List

The list of agencies is subject to change as new agencies are added and existing ones update their offerings. For the most current information, visit the official website of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security: Employment Agency Unit .

Agency Status Key

Understand what each status indicator means for your agency selection:

Approved

Fully licensed and approved by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MLSS) to operate employment agency services. These agencies have met all regulatory requirements and are authorized to recruit workers for J-1, H-2B, and other visa programs.

Pending Approval

Application submitted to MLSS but approval not yet finalized. These agencies may be operating under provisional status or awaiting license renewal. Verify their current authorization status before proceeding.

Not Listed

Not currently on the MLSS approved list. This may indicate a new agency, one that has changed names, or one operating without proper licensing. Exercise caution and verify their legitimacy with MLSS directly.

Direct Sponsor

U.S.-based visa sponsor organizations (e.g., InterExchange, CIEE, Cultural Vistas) that work directly with participants. These entities are regulated by the U.S. Department of State, not MLSS, and do not require Jamaican agency licensing.
